About Concrete Calculations
- Slab: Used in floors, patios, and driveways. Volume = Length × Width × (Thickness/100).
- Cylinder: For columns and round footings. Volume = π × (Radius²) × Height.
- Wall Footing: Strip for foundations. Volume = Length × Width × Height.
Concrete Material Tips:
- Bag yield: 1 m³ ≈ 25 × 40kg bags (varies with mix and brand).
- Standard mix: 1 part cement, 2 parts sand, 4 parts aggregate by volume.
- Always allow 5–10% extra for spillage and slab variation!
- For slab applications, minimum thickness is usually 7–10 cm.
Typical Applications:
- Floors & Driveways: Slab, minimum thickness 10cm for driveways
- Columns: Cylinder
- Foundations: Wall footings or pads
